Ms. Ellen Chua

The founder of the group is a postgraduate of the renowned Harvard Business School, in addition to being one of the earliest Singaporean candidates to study in the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and awarded a seat on the Singapore Ex­change. Ms Chua is also noted for her charitable activities in Singapore, sponsoring Monthly Awareness and ‘DANA’ (Pali word) sessions for the Mentally Challenged and Aged communities in Singapore.

Mr.. Lam Peck Heng

Mr. Lam obtained his Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Mathematics from the University of Singapore and Master of Arts in Mathematics from the University of Kansas, United States. Mr. Lam spent a substantial part of his career in the Singapore Civil Service where he served in numerous positions, amongst which are: a teacher at Raffles Institution (considered by many to be the premier school in Singapore), a senior officer at the Economic Development Board, an administrative officer at the Ministry of Finance, and as Assistant General Manager at Intraco Limited which was then owned by the Government of Singapore.

Mr. Lam has extensive experience in both the public and private sectors in Singapore. After his retirement from the Singapore Civil Service, he switched to the private sector and became an assistant general manager in an International Trading Company. Also, Mr. Lam was appointed the Registrar and Executive Director of the Singapore Society of Accountants (which is the predecessor entity of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Singapore).

He was appointed Head of Mission in Myanmar from 1988 to 1992, and served as Singapore’s High Commissioner to India from January 1993 to June 1996 and then as High Commissioner to New Zealand from July 1996 to June 2000. Between 1983 to 1988, Mr. Lam was appointed Honorary Consul in Singapore of the Kingdom of Bhutan. For his services to the country, Mr. Lam was conferred the Public Service Medal by the President of Singapore.

Mr. Lam currently sits on the board of several public companies listed on the Singapore Exchange.

Mr. Ken Lim Yew Ming


Mr. Ken Lim Yew Ming is the Managing Director of AIK CHUAN CONSTRUCTION, and EVAN LIM & CO. PTE. LTD Singapore that started out in 1982 as a general subcontractor, undertaking small-scale construction contracts.

Over the years, under the guidance and foresight of Mr. Ken Lim Ywe Ming, it has grown its operations and made major advancements. Today, the company is entrusted with large-scale projects in the capacity of a Principal Contractor. Aik Chuan Construction applied for and received the Integrated Management System certification of ISO 9000, ISO 14000 and OHSAS 18000 in compliance with Singapore’s Building & Construction Authority (BCA).

The company has achieved an upgraded status of A2 grading under the CW01 Construction Work head with the Singapore Building and Construction Authority. Over the years, it has accumulated valuable knowledge and experience in the construction industry as well as a dedicated team of experienced and trained professionals.

Aik Chuan Construction owns four subsidiaries – Vobis Enterprise Pte Ltd which provides quality dormitory solutions to foreign workers in the construction and ship building industries, Lim Kieu Construction & Investment Co. Ltd which has expanded operations into the Vietnam market, Aik Chuan Yacht Charters Pte Ltd which acquired SG Yachts as part of its luxury nautical business


Mr. Robin Chong


Robin Chong is the Managing Director of the PACE group of companies in Singapore, Sri Lanka and China. Projects which Mr. Chong has successfully managed include investments in advertising, property management, internet technology start-ups, electronic publishing, and education. His relevant experience in the private education

industry began when he founded and incubated a private educational centre in Chongqing City, China offering courses leading to the University of Cambridge International Examinations. This private educational centre was sold to a [bigger] investor in a trade sale. Mr. Chong, a finance graduate from Santa Clara University in the United States, was admitted as a Fellow by the Chartered Management Institute, a professional institution for managers incorporated in the United Kingdom by Royal Charter.
